The Cavalier is a Grade 2 Listed town house dating back to 1794. Set close to the City Walls, in the heart of York, it provides a superb central location for exploring the city – Minster, Museums and Jorvik centre which are all on the doorstep.

This delightful Georgian Town House is privately owned, and operated by Julia and James.

The Cavalier is also very well placed for access to both the Rail Station and major routes to the East coast, the Moors and Dales and also the A1/M1.

Non-smoking, en-suite accommodation, with full English breakfast (vegans and vegetarians catered for on request). Freshly cooked to order.

A spacious resident's lounge equipped with magazines, books, local information, games, and piano. Complimentary sherry is available for guests.

Parking is included in the room rate, either in reserved bays or garages. We also have a secure motorbike and cycle store.
